Aurora Borealis – Northern Lights
I have always been one to not try and connect too much with nature, it disagrees with my skin; mud, dirt, pollen, I had a long childhood of camping with my family and scouts, thanks to them, I have a less than favourable outlook on the great outdoors.
But when the scenery is pretty, now that’s a different matter.
I am, it has to be said, quite shallow concerning the environment, I go by its looks a lot more than the inner workings of the individual plant biologies. I understood photosynthesis and osmosis etc very well in school, and my father is an avid gardener (or likes to think he is) but I have to say, when it comes to me and my preferences… I like it to be pretty, rather than interesting.
There are some exceptions. I am continually amazed at how wondrous our world can be, it’s a fantastical globe of enormous potential. It really is breathtaking to see our world in all it’s glory, and what better sight could you want to demonstrate the meeting of science & nature, than the beautiful displays of aurora borealis? ^_^
This is a bucket list stop off that I will be hitting very quickly after making it, as I am going there at the end of February! ^_^
4 days, 3 nights in Reykjavik, Iceland to see the Northern Lights and go whale watching ^_^
I will blog about this and put up pictures when I have been!! 😀

Wow! That sounds like an amazing trip. I’m very jealous, I’ve never seen the Northern lights. I hope you have a great time and I can’t wait to read about your trip 🙂 xx
